This paper deals with the importance of the recognition and development of successful language strategies in companies in order to create a more competitive and highly skilled workforce. In order to achieve this goal, measures at national, regional and company level should be envisaged. Multilingualism not only promotes openness and mutual understanding but also opens doors to new markets and business opportunities. Investing in language skills to ensure a supply of highly qualified employees is crucial to fully benefit from the global market.
