Concepts for integrated electronic health records management system

Due to a very sensitive nature of medical information, Electronic health records (EHCR) management systems are faced with a number of stringent requirements. More precisely, security problem that affects all the levels of communication architecture as well as all the medico/legal and ethical issues has been recognized as the primary step towards integrated health computing environment. This paper presents the solution for a functional EHCR management system that meets these strict requirements, but also follows the initiative taken by the Next Generation Network (NGN) approach, that addresses the problems of modularity and flexibility of medical information systems.
