Wind tunnel application of an intelligent pressure scanner
This paper deals with aerodynamic characteristics determination of NACA 2421 airfoil by im-plementation of the high accuracy intelligent pressure scanners with temperature compensation. The operating principle of intelligent scanner is also described. The pressure distribution around airfoil is measured and the aerodynamic characteristics (lift coefficient, drag coefficient, moment coefficient and centre of pressure) are calculated. Also, the application of high accuracy pressure calibrator for the differential pressure transducer calibration is demonstrated. The effect of the static line pressure at three different levels is studied ; at atmospheric pressure, 23 kPa gage pressure and 38 kPa gage pressure.
