Milk and dairy products are very important food group for schoolchildren. Fermented milks, besides nutritional benefits have numerous human health benefits. In this study 134 schoolchildren (45 % children aged 10-11 y, 57 % aged 14-15 y) from one school in Zagreb have been examined by specially designed questionnaire. The results showed that higher number of younger children (94 % participants) than older (88 % participants) like and drink milk. Fresh milk with 2.8 % of milk fat is the most present product from all dairy products in all day diet. Chocolate milk is on the second place. Smaller number of kids consume fermented milks than milk, but still more than cheese. Similar situation is among adolescents. As was expected higher number of older than younger children know that they should drink milk and by their opinion they should drink 2-3 cups of milk per day. On the question why those products are important for health, more than 65 % participants aged 10-11 years related them with growth, bones and teeth.
