Information Agents Usage for Business Intelligence: Retrieval of Public Data on Stolen Cars

According to the concept of business intelligence firms should use all information available in order to increase efficiency of decision making. Business intelligence area stresses following usual technologies: data warehousing, OLAP and data mining, but they refer only to internal data. Web among many commercial products contain valuable external data that is freely available. Paper proposes retrieval of public data with information agents for business intelligence. Information agent for retrieving data about stolen cars in Croatia is developed. Insurance company used data base of stolen cars in Croatia in last four years is created for better decision making.
