Business Intelligence (BI) supports decision-making capabilities of banks and helps them to attain and maintain a competitive advantage in today’ s turbulent markets. Its usage makes the conditions, procedures and mechanisms for creating business knowledge. BI supports reaction to external pressures and enables effective risk management and implementation of regulatory compliances such as Basel II accord.
