Zagreb City and Sava River
The expansion and development of the Zagreb city has surpassed Sava river long ago. Due to the unforeseeable nature of the river, the city planning never utilised its spaces, leaving much of the surrounding areas unbuilt. In the last 25 years, new plans emerged, which would use the benefits of Sava becoming a central city river. These plans include new hydro technical facilities, new bridges, public buildings and green recreational areas. This paper will present some of these new solutions, with the emphasis being given on the new bridges that are to be built, in regard to the existing ones.
