IMPORTANCE OF FABRIC STRUCTURE CHARACTERISTICS IN „CMP“ OPERATIONS

Considering that the textile samples are highly heterogeneous in structure, and that number of parameters highly affects the accuracy in color matching operations, it is often a difficult task to achieve the satisfactory color similarity on the different structured textile materials. Nowadays the standard color matching operations that are usually performed in colored textiles production implies computer interpolation of mathematical equation based on original Kubelka – Munk expression which have shown certain limitations while performing its application in practice. For the analyses textile fabric samples (100% cotton) of characteristics provided in Table 1 were chosen. In the next step, the intensity of the light transmission through warp crossing weft points and points in between warp crossing weft points were defined and statistical analysis of obtained values was performed. The measurements were carried out by means of electronic microscope device Olympus BX51 (amplification x40). After the light transmission measurement by means of electronic microscope device Olympus BX51, the results obtained were analyzed applying the statistical method of median, mode and range calculations. Based on the results obtained, the transmitted light distribution for each sample is defined and showed graphically on a Figure. On the chosen samples, based on the chosen standards for the given color, the conventional computer match prediction (CMP) was performed for determining the concentrations of dyestuff used in experimental work.
