ANALYSES OF METAL IONS IN CROATIAN WINES USING ION CHROMATOGRAPHY IN FORENSICS
Ion chromatography (IC) were used to analyze concentrations of four metals in two Croatian wines (sample 1 and sample 2) produced in 2009. Ion chromatography was used to analyze concentrations of sodium, potassium, magnesium and calcium. According the comparison of the results of the two wine samples are (table 1): Sample 1 and sample 2 have different concentration of sodium. Sample 1 and sample 2 have different concentration of potassium. Sample 1 and sample 2 have different concentration of magnesium. Sample 1 and sample 2 have different concentration of calcium. Conclusion: Wine sample 1 and wine sample 2 are not the same wine. ION SAMPLE 1 (mg/L) SAMPLE 2 (mg/L) sodium 109, 69 270, 66 potassium 1091, 11 1541, 35 magnesium 108, 99 101, 39 calcium 100, 22 112, 24 Table 1: Results of analysis two wines.
