This papers deals with possibility of ammonium removal from water solutionsby means of clinoptilolite-rich tuff from Donje Jesenje, Croatia.Natural zeolite-clinoptilolite was converted into a near homoionic state in Na, K, Ca and Mg-form by conditioning samples with 2mol/L NaCl, KCl, CaCl2 and MgCl2.The affinity of investigated samples foe ammonium ions is decresing as follows: Na-form>natural zeolite>Ca-form>K-form>mg-form
