Role of testing laboratory during live work training

The aim of developing own testing laboratory that eventually became independent and recognized by Croatian Accreditation Agency (HAA), member of European Accreditation (EA), has showed that quality and excellence in live work equipment testing can be improved and even integrated within live work training process. Live work trainees now have unique opportunity to participate as watchers in tests made on live work equipment and understand better the importance of regular inspections and good maintenance of LW equipment. The most performed HV demonstrational test is being made on insulating gloves as the most used piece of protective equipment. Recommendations given to operators during the two hour visit to HV laboratory are usually expanded with other observations present in daily work.
