Attitudes and Motivation of Young Italian and Croatian English as a Foreign Language Learners
This paper discusses foreign language learning attitudes and motivation with particular emphasis on young learners' attitudes and motivation. In the theoretical part of this paper, the role of the age factor and differences between young and older leaners related to foreign language learning were discussed and various studies in that field were cited. The theoretical discussions of attitudes and motivation in general were provided and attittudes and motivation of young learners were discussed with their implications for early language learning programmes. In our study, we compared the attitudes and motivation of young English as a foreign language learners from Croatia and Italy and analysed the differences between these two groups of participants.
