RELIABILITY ASSESSMENT OF RAILWAY SUBSTATION USING RISK SPECTRUM TOOLS
The paper presents a calculation of reliability and availability of the high-voltage switchgear which will be analyzed using the software package Risk Spectrum. In this paper, simulation analyses were performed using the fault tree method. RiskSpectrum is a specialized program for modeling and display of fault trees and event trees. In addition to availability and reliability assessment, uncertainty analysis (Monte Carlo method), importance analysis, and time-dependent analysis can be performed. An important feature of the program is that there is practically no limit to the number of basic events, logical gates, etc. Fault tree is a graphical representation of the logical structure that describes the undesirable events (e.g. faults) and their causes. It is created by means of events. In RiskSpectrum PSA computer program, the parameter is basically the most numerical value representing the mean value of the reliability parameters and probability density functions. The model for the availability calculation includes switchgear and components of the circuit breakers, disconnectors, busbars and transformers. System availability is determined by using the system components, the action of the components in the system, and the failure and repair frequency for all components.
