Finite Volume Method for Heat Conduction Problems in Complex Domains
Paper describes the finite volume method for solving steady and unsteady two-dimensional heat conduction problems on unstructured grid. The fully implicit time scheme is used in steady state calculation and Cranck Nicholson scheme for unsteady problems. For spatial derivatives the central differencing scheme is applied. The generation method for unstructured locally orthogonal grid in complex domain is given. The developed method is applied for solving the heat conduction problem in a complex geometry. It is concluded that the method is simple and appropriate for solving problems in complex domains.
