Advantages of Electric Motors for Vessel Propulsion in Nautical Tourism

Travel and business transportation with a vessels at sea, rivers and lakes in recent decades has increased with special emphasis on ecology and environmental protection. The paper points out the advantages of using an electric motor in vessels drive on the example of solar powered catamaran boat. Especially are analyzed electric propulsion system optimized for the use of solar energy through solar generators. The conclusion summarizes the research and points out the necessity of close cooperation between entrepreneurs, technical faculties and government bodies in the development of technical innovations in purpose of protecting environment.
