The aim of the rsearch program of the working group WG-D11/0020/01 was to study physical and chemical properties of weak interactions between liposomes and small biomolecules (e.g. glycine, L-or D- alanine, L- or D- leucine) and peptides ; peptidoglycan monomer (GlcNC-MurNAc-L-Ala-D-isoGln-mesoDAP(uNH2)-D-Ala-D-Ala) and adamantyl tripeptides, (D- or L-(adamant-2-il)-gly-L-ala-Diso-Glu), as well as their copper(II) complexes. The method of our choice for the study of such complex systems was Electron Paramagnetic Resonance Spectroscopy.
