Induced Voltage on De-Energized Transmission line Capacitively and Inductively Copuled to Energized Line
This paper presents a case study in which induced voltages on a de-energized circuit of a double-circuit 110 kV transmission line in Croatia resulted in a fatal incident to maintenance personnel. A circuit model approach is used to carry out the study. The comparison of computed and measured induced voltages on the de-energized circuit is presented and discussed. Induced voltages on the de-energized circuit are presented for both ungrounded and grounded states of the de-energized circuit. When the de-energized circuit is grounded through a ground rod, induced voltages and currents flowing through the ground rod are computed for various ground rod resistances.
