Computer Aided Design of Transformer Station Grouding System Using CDEGS Software

The fundamental concern of electrical power system is production, transmission and distribution of electric power to the end users – consumers in reliable and safe way with acceptable expense and sufficient voltage and frequency quality standard. The concept of reliable and safe electric power supply can quantitatively be valued by means of power system reliability indicators. The concept of electric power quality can likewise be quantitatively valued and presented by specific electric power quality indices. This aspect of electric power quality will be presented in this paper by giving an example of compensation facilities of 35 kV distribution network of Slavonija and Baranja. Since the installed filter compensation in distribution network of Slavonija and Baranja has been in function for a long time its work and influence on electric power quality indices will be analysed here. Before installation of capacitor batteries, the measurements and detailed analyses of compensation effect had been made and also analyses of possible resonance in the network because of the existence of individual high harmonic current and voltage members in the network. Using the method of analog recording of current and voltage on the measuring instrument has made the measurements, while the frequency (spectrum) analysis has been made in a computer afterwards. All results shown in the table represent the content of high harmonics at a given time. In this paper the filter compensations will be analysed in transformer stations TS 110/35 kV Osijek 1 and TS 110/35/10 Osijek 2 at 35 kV voltages. The same procedure can be applied to the other filter compensations.
