Womanspace, Geobodies and Borderlands
In the paper the author highlighted three metaphors: ‘womanspace’, geobodies and borderlands in order to articulate not only the subject- formation of woman in its spatial settings and spatialization as an active process, but also mark and reflect different power regimes that place woman and space nowadays in various intrinsic, contesting and negotiatory relations. In this regard she explored the ways in how women’s bodies are used, or better, misused to design and remap the new capitalist machinery nowadays, both transnationally and globally, and through which practices and discursive imaginaries, and how they become particular zones of crossing.
capitalist machinery; female body; spatialization; liberation
