A New Business Model in the Growing Industry of eSport
Esports, as competitive gaming is becoming the part of growing industry and more common topic in various international researches. The main purpose of this research is to come up with a new, innovative business model in the field of eSports which can be applied as significant business opportunity. Main goals of this paper include determining the key components of eSports possibilities in the emerging gaming industry and present some of innovative ways of using them in the light of the new business opportunities. By breaking the term eSports down to several components, their rentability and possible profit gaining is analyzed mostly from entrepreneurial perspective. Furthermore, target market segmentation of eSports is defined and compared toward traditional sports because traditional sports and eSports should be observed completely separately as many authors confirmed.
