Forensic identification of human skeletal remains from rugged cavity
In April 2000, speleologists found the parts of human skeletal remains in cavity in Krušvar region, with typical ruggedness for Dinarides structures. The forensic expertise was requested in order to establish the identity, the cause and manner of death and to answer whether the elements of crime were presented or not. DNA (from teeth and from blood of predictive parents of missing man) was analyzed. Basic on forensic data, it was supposed that remains belong to M.B., born 1969, missed in 1988. But, some doubts about identity, mainly expressed by relatives, still remained and DNA analysis was demanded.
