Multiple Kaposi's sarcoma in 11-year casuistic of the Department of dermatology and venereology, Zagreb Clinical Hospital and Zagreb University School of Medicine
Although Kaposi's sarcoma has been known since 1872, with the occurence of AIDS, it has recently come into the very focus of scientific interest again, the more so as no precise data on its prevalence in particular regions worldwide are currently available. In literature, it is quite frequently stated to be more common in South-eastern Europe, especially in Mediterranean countries, than in other parts of the globe. As Croatia is a Mediterranean country, data on the prevalence of Kaposi's sarcoma recorded at the largest Croatian clinic, Department of Dermatovenerology, Zagreb University Hospital and School of Medicine, are reported.
