Successful treatment of massive acute upper gastrointestinal bleeding in liver failure with activated recombinant factor VII (NovoSeven): a case report
In this paper, we reported a case of massive acute upper GIB in a 41-year-old woman with liver failure and PHG, refractory to conventional therapeutic measures, but successful use of novel hemostatic agent rFVIIA. Novoseven was given as a single intravenous dose of 90 μg/kg body weight, since it has been previously successfully administered in patients with acute liver failure or cirrhosis, at a dose from 40 to 100 μg/kg body weight
