ETHNOPSYCHIATRIC APPROACH TO POSTTRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER
Two patients have been shown with clinical picture of the PTSD chronic course, which in the psychological functions express the elements of secondary psychopatisation as well, and in whose genesis the traumatic experience have the dominating position. In the patients, anamnesis there have been cited a number of similarities and compatibility's (never before they have gone through any psychiatric treatment, they are both the volunteers of the patriotic war from 1991, and were war prisoners in concentration camps, refugees with farm lies). As the consequence we find the different psychopatological phenomena which we have been trying to explain as the result of the impact of the sociocultural and ethnopsyhological factors. Our aim is to give the sketch for the portrait for the possible and more profound scientific research and monitoring combined with our experience and observations that we have had so far in the treatment of the patients from the different areas of the Republic of Croatia.
