Topological coordinates for toroidal structures

Physically realistic 3D geometries for toroidal carbon networks can be produced by using the eigenvectors of the the vertex adajceny matrix of a network. Here it is shown that not three eigenvectors (in contrast to previous suggestions) but four are needed to achieve plausible geometries for networks with surfaces of genus one.
