Synthesis And Dissolution Of Borosilicates
Inorganic cations play a fundamental role in synthesis of zeolites in fluoridic media. Last results show that the velocity of crystallization, induction time, morphology and dimension of crystals are determined by the nature of alkaline ions. In this paper, synthesis and dissolution of borosilicates of MFI structure, with batch composition prepared gels: 9MF - x H3BO3 - 10 SiO2 - 1.25 TPABr -330 H2O with M = NH4, Na and K and x = 0.5, 6 and 10, were studied by measuring concentration of silicon in the liquid phase, and X-ray diffractometry, FTIR spectroscopy, TA and scanning electron microscopy for analysis of solid phase. The influence of boron content in the starting material, and the role of inorganic cations on the course of the synthesis and the dissolution, and the properties of dissolving solids are discussed.
