Programming Languages Used for Educational Purpose
In a modern and digital society computer science represents one of the key areas that are vital for continuous development and improvement of different technological solutions and virtually all business systems. Learning programming can be quite challenging since it requires many prerequisites, such as good analytic and synthetic skills, proper logical reasoning and skillfulness in algorithmic thinking. Along with being prerequisites of learning programming, all mentioned skills are also integral part of the programming process and are thus improved during all activities related to learning programming. In order to make learning programming easier and more comprehensive the choice of the most suitable programming language for educational purpose has to be made in a very careful manner. In this paper, an overview of some of the most commonly used programming languages used for educational purpose is given. The discussion about the usefulness and suitability of these languages is also presented and analyzed.
