Non-linear internal loads on the floating bodies in monochromatic waves
Theoretical base of the internal loads evaluation on the floating bodies oscillating about their mean position in monochromatic incident wave is presented in this paper. Problem is considered in frequency domain and the potential flow is assumed. Floating bodies are considered as absolutely stiff and internal loads are obtained as a difference between the hydrodynamic forces and inertial forces at a given section. All nonlinearities that appear in the considered problem are taken into account, using the perturbation method up to second order. Some numerical difficulties and the way of their solutions are presented.
