Design of Heat Transfer Network Analogy Model for Complex Thermal Systems
This paper describes the methodology for design of network analogy models for estimation of steady state heat transfer in complex non-linear thermal systems. Simultaneous heat transfer by conduction, convection and radiation in complex geometrical arrangements is modeled by application of concentrated parameter network. The network design comprises of node clusters made up of individuals nodes which can be passive or with attached heat sources or sinks. The nodes are interconnected by resistances equivalent to arious modes of heat transfer. The scope of the method is presented by network design intended for calculation of steady state non-linear heat transfer in complex explosion proof transformer.
