Consciousness and Concepts: A Challenge for Naturalism
The phenomenal concept strategy, used by physicalists to defuse certain objections based on intuitions concerning qualia, has to meet the following challenge. Spelling out in naturalistic terms phenomenal concepts requires addressing the naturalisation of certain normative conditions. These requirements are invovled in the mastery of the concept of conscious experience.
