Grating method for deformation measurement of heterogeneous specimen

The combination of object grating method with close-range photogrammetry allows to determine the whole-field deformation state of a 3D object surface independent of rigid-body movement. In this paper it is used to investigate the deformation properties of specimen with heterogeneous structural constitutions. The experiments are carried out on the simulated specimens with structural constitutions consisting of coarse grain, transition sections and base materials, produced by heating treatment similar to real welding process.
