Software Environment for Learning and Knowledge Assessment Based on Graphical Gadget

We present the design, technical issues and use of a software environment for learning and educational assessment. Our proposed system offers individualized tasks for each student and allows variations and modifications of the tasks (with instructor supervision). The system is designed to support distance learning, but it can also support and enrich education in a traditional classroom. Using application-based computer graphic tasks, we present various potential uses of the proposed software environment. Computer graphics tasks are highly demanding for interactivity, visual presentation and simulation. The proposed design addresses the most demanding graphics challenges. We demonstrate that the proposed framework applies to different courses and that this mode of learning is highly motivating for students.
