Repeatability and Reproducibility of Measurement Results According to ISO 5725:1994(E)
Precision is a general term used for variability between repeated measurements. Two conditions of precision, termed repeatability and reproducibility, have been found necessary and, for many practical cases, useful for describing the variability of a measurement method. In the Laboratory for Precise Measurement of Length at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the Naval Architecture at the University of Zagreb (LFSB) the research into the estimation of repeatability and reproducibility has been carried out on the basis of measurements of gauge blocks of up to 100 mm.
