Vibrational Simulation of Direct Central Impact
In this paper the linear vibrational model has been used for simulation of impact of two bodies under the given conditions. Equations of motion have been derived in non-dimensional form and numerically integrated for some special cases. The time of duration of impact, impact forces and displacement of bodies during the impact have been obtained. Also the relationship between damping factor and coefficient of restitution for this linear model has been shown.
