Design of a Flexible Shipyard

Paper defines basic characteristics of flexible shipyard and flexibility of shipbuilding technology process. General layout of possible flexible shipyard and analysis of production concept is presented. Main material flow, arrangement of production capacities and basic characteristics of transport devices are described. Mathematical model for flexibility coefficient determining is developed. It is used to determine flexibility coefficient of all sub-assembling and assembling workshops. Conclusion express advantages of flexible shipyard and his capability to answer on shipbuilding market demands.
