Disclosure of “hidden” Glagolitics: Glagolitic manuscripts’ digitization, description and research within Digital humanities framework

A significant number of important historical Glagolitic manuscripts is nowadays part of collections of heritage institutions in Zadar. Despite their remarkable value, these collections are known only to a limited number of scientists, while on many ways and for many reasons hidden to the others. This presentation will focus on the concept of hidden collections in library and information sciences in general, particularly oriented on collections of Zadar Glagolitic manuscripts. The possibilities of their disclosure will be proposes. Disclosure in this presentation is approached mainly, but not exclusively, from a data-oriented perspective within digital humanities framework.
