Österreichische Zeitschrift für Vermessung und Geoinformation jedan je od najstarijih geodetskih časopisa na svijetu. Počeo je izlaziti 1903. pod nazivom Österreichische Zeitschrift für Vermessungswesen. Redovito je izlazio do 1937. godine (35. godište), a nastavio je izlaziti 1948. (36. godište). Godine 1974. mijenja naziv u Österreichische Zeitschrift für Vermessungswesen und Photogrammetrie. Od 1994. izlazi pod današnjim nazivom vgi – Österreichische Zeitschrift für Vermessung und Geoinformation. Na mrežnim stranicama časopisa dostupni su cjeloviti tekstovi za sve članke od prvog broja iz 1903. do sva četiri broja iz 2013.

Österreichische Zeitschrift für Vermessung und Geoinformation is one of the oldest geodetic journals in the world. It began publication in 1903 under the name Österreichische Zeitschrift für Vermessungswesen. It was published regularly until 1937 (volume 35), and continued to be published in 1948 (volume 36). In 1974, it changed its name to Österreichische Zeitschrift für Vermessungswesen und Photogrammetrie. Since 1994, it has been published under the current name vgi – Österreichische Zeitschrift für Vermessung und Geoinformation. Complete texts for all articles from the first issue from 1903 to all four issues from 2013 are available on the journal's website.
