Pleistocene deltaic sequence of Seline near Mala Paklenica - document of climatic oscillations.
Seline coastal section with well-exposed conglomerates and lacustrine sediments reveals complex depositional history during Pleistocene. Pleistocene succession studied is built of several deltaic bodies of Gilbert-type, divided by thin lacustrine sediments and paleosols. The whole succession is capped by thick lacustrine sediments. This contrasting depositional episodes record alternation of glacial pulses and melt-episodes, possibly of stadial-interstadial range.
