Fatty acid profile of muscle tissue of meagre Argyrosomus regius fed diets containing different levels of fish oil
The aim of the study was to evaluate the fatty acid profile of the muscle tissue of meagre (Argyrosomus regius) fed diets containing different levels of fish oil. The fatty acid analysis was performed by gas chromatography. The results of fatty acid profile of muscle tissue of meagre fed diets containing different levels of fish oil showed the fish fed diet A had the highest amount of C20:5 (n-3) (EPA) and C22:6 (n-3) DHA with significantly higher ω-3/ ω-6 ratio compared to diets B and C.
