Reproduction Objectivity of Four Color and Seven Color Conventional Printing and Digital Offset Printing Technique
The most often used color printing techniques is the four color offset printing process. Seven color offset printing is a process used for high quality products. The printing substrates in such cases are usually fine art glossy or matt papers. Today, digital printing methods are used more and more. This article presents the determined and comparative possibilities of objective original reproduction in four and seven color conventional offset printing and four and six color digital offset printing on fine art glossy and matt papers. The surfaces are calculated, where such printsare covered in CIE diagram. In the same diagram, the areas are presented in such way as to reproduce as much of the mentioned printing techniques on the tested printing substrates as possible. In conclusions, this way of testing color printing techniques is highly recomended.
