Subpopulation of B-cells in bone marrow of children with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia treated by BFM-95 protocol
Immunophenotypic investigation of minimal residual disease (MRD) in acute leukemia (AL) has been based on the detection of ohenotypic aberrants at diagnosis to be used later as a target for MRD detection. The present study is based on the hypothesis that the persistence of residual leukaemic cells may induce abnormalities in the B-cell compartment in bone marrow and that these abnormalities could be used as a criteria to predict relapse in precursor ALL patients who are in cytomorphologic remission.
