The role of marketing in the development of sport nad economics
The objective of this paper was to research and to present the possiblities of application of sport marketing toghether with its function in the development of sport and economics. This paper proceeds from the perceptions of general marketing whose determinants are applied in sport, thus creating a a separate discipline - sport marketing. Accordingly, the termsport marketing is explained and defined. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the sport market, its characteristics and its size, as the prerequisites for the application of sport marketing. Finally, the influence of sport on economic development in some developed countries is analysed and presented.
