Some requirements for machining large - dimension parts
The topic of this paper is production of "GRUNDRAHMEN FZ " - base frame that is used as a base for turbine generators. The paper describes the complete production process and design of technology. Material used for base frame is steel S235 JR G2 that corresponds to the T BS 0361 or DIN R St 37-2, construction steels. Material must meet the technological, mechanical , exploitative demands that occur in structures of this type. When we have to design a technology for this product or similar type of structure, different requests are defined for machining process. Treatment must achieve the required accuracy and tolerances required in such products. The complexity of the product and the complexity of design of technology in this case is related to the large mass ( 21 t ) and large size of product 3090 x 8655 x 890 mm. Manufacturing process must be performed by machining on the portal milling machine with a large work table. For composition and machining " GRUNDRAHMEN FZ " - Basic frame ( turbine generator ) is required to follow the prescribed technology, structure of handling, fixing and machining. An important parameter is also the selection of cutting tools which should correspond to the technology that is already carried, respond to those needs that arise in production technology and machine tools, and application of the cooling and lubrication required to produce. The choice of better tools with higher speeds has an impact on shortening of the production time. It is important to note that after treatment on certain machine tool, a detailed review of the set of dimensions of the product has to be performed in order to determine the deviation from the given parameters and verify the accuracy, but also their correction.
