Effect of Growth Regulator on Adventitious Rooting of Corylus Colurna L.
Rooting of softwood stem cuttings of Corylus colurna L was investigated in a two-year trial. Terminal and subterminal cuttings in two different terms (May and June) were taken and were treated with three different concentrations of IBA (0, 01%, 0, 10% and 0, 25 %). The time when the cuttings were taken had influence on number of cuttings that formed callus. In both years, more favourable term was May that, compared with June in the year 1992 gave 19% and in 1993 49, 7% more cuttings that formed callus. In the year 1992 terminal cuttings gave 25% more cuttings with formed callus than subterminal and in 1993 35% more. With treatment of cuttings with 0, 01% concentration of IBA, compared with 0, 25% concentration of IBA, 48% and 37, 7% more cuttings with formed callus were achieved in 1992 and 1993, respectively.
