Effects of growing conditions on red clover traits variability
Variability of qualitative and quantitative traits of three red clover cultivars (Reichersberg, K-17, Croatia) was studied and compared to the same trait variability of these cultivar genotypes which survived three year growing under mountain conditions. The experiment was carried out as RCBD with three replications for two years. For the most analysed traits larger variability (CV) was found in the cultivars than in the populations of theirs survived clones (reselections). Yields of two reselections were higher than yields of their cultivars. The reselections showed higher persistency than the cultivars.
