User Functions as a Development Tool in Commercial CFD Environments
The purpose of this paper is to show the flexibility of user function approach in modelling complicated physical processes, like combustion and radiation, within professionally made CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) code. The discrete transfer radiation method (DTRM), and a semi-empiric combustion model, developed at Power Engineering Department, were implemented into AVL's CFD code FIRE. The results are presented in this paper.
