Famous composers and neiirological disorders: Hector Berlioz : a patography on 200th anniversary of his birth
Hector Berlioz, French composer and conductor, was born in 1803 near Grenoble. His father was pltysician, his mother known as catltolic but very rigid person, therefore his parents could never forgive him abandoning medical school (he absolved only physics). Thus hy beginning his musical education he lost their financial and other support. Despite his initial ignorance and inexperience for piano or other orchestral instruments, he became brilliant instrumentalist and orchestrator. He composed many famous symphonies, overtures and other orchestral works, operas as well. He attempted two suicides atter his unhappy relationships with women. Although he was known as a brilliant man, many times Ite came out naive, to much loving and truthful. Later on he became rigid, with violent emotional changes of mood, often depressive, but sometimes cynic and arrogant, so he came into conflicts with many his contemporaries. For more than I S years he had intestinal pain. In his last years he became lonely, despaired, with morbid self pity. At last he felt ill, was very weak and appeared like a shadow. He has lost his both wives, two sisters, his only son and many friends. He had few transitory weakness episodes, probably TIA-s. His life became meaningless and his dying lasted one year. Finally, in 1869, he passed away from stroke in his 66th year of life.
