Machinability in New Industrial Conditions
The trend in manufacturing is towards the intelligent machining system. The efficiency of advanced machining systems and vera expensive intelligent machining systems could significantly be increased by applying more reliable machinability data of conventional and new materials. This paper discusses different approaches in machinability: conventional and short machinability testing, surface roughness and surface integrity. Furthermore, the chip control and identification of machining process are discussed. A proposal of an integrated manufacturing testing concept is proposed.
