Data and algorithms for Modelling Productivity of Forwarder
This paper shows the impact of some factors (extraction distance, harvesting density, dimensions of processed roundwood, conditions of soil strength, sorting of assortments in unloading) on productivity of a 12-tone forwarder Timberjack 1210 engaged in extracting roundwood from regeneration fellings in the Croatian lowland forests. Research was carried out at 5 workplaces in the period of 34 working days, when 3584 m3 of hardwood assortments (oak and ash) were extracted in 370 forwarder cycles. Chainsaws were used for felling and processing of timber by use of cut-to-length method at all workplaces. The impact of the above-mentioned factors was determined by mathematical-statistical analysis. The influencing factors were related to time consumptions of working components (travel of unloaded and loaded forwarder, loading, maneuvering during loading, unloading, maneuvering during unloading, delay times) and load characteristics. Dependences and algorithms should be the basis for making the software aimed at evaluating the forwarder productivity in dependence of influencing factors of a workplace.
