The Antropogenous Influence and Need for the Revitalisation of the Stara Drava

The ability of the decomposition of the present autochthonous and allochthonous organic matter into biologically exploitable forms depended of the Stara Drava foremost on the hydrological conditions (the height of the water level, the volocity of the water flow), in other words, on the volocity of the process of sedimentation. The revitalisation of this ecosystem is foreseen in the permanent protection of the Stara Drava from waste waters through the reorganisation of the existing water management subsystems of the pertaining catchment area and continued investigations of the velocity of eutrophication in order to prevent the occurrence of powerful and irretrievable changes in the ecological balance.
